Functional Fitness

Programming in the world of functional fitness relies heavily on hybrid training. This methodology regularly combines Olympic weightlifting and strength building movements with plyometric and cardiovascular-intensive movements. With the squat serving as the foundation of Olympic weightlifting, this style of programming can present a footwear challenge. Weightlifting shoes are ideal for squatting, but inhibit agility movements. Minimalists training shoes are great for staying agile, but typically have a low heel-to-toe drop making squat movements difficult for athletes with limited ankle mobility. The need for a viable third option exists.

BEGINNER TO ELITE

Beginner athletes will find VersaLifts™ incredibly useful as they develop their mobility and learn proper technique. For elite and competitive athletes, VersaLifts™ are the perfect solution for workouts where some movements benefit from an elevated heel (e.g. overhead squats and pistols) and other movements require the mobility of your cross-training shoes (e.g. double unders and box jumps).
